Slocs Posted July 28, 2020 Share Posted July 28, 2020 Team, my 1986 3.2 Cab's window seals (above door windows and the B pillar) have the common problem of the fabric covering peeling. No problems I thought, I'll just purchase new seals. Unfortunately I need both my kidneys, and can't really justify selling one to purchase the seals! So, has anyone recovered their seals? I'm guessing Targa's have the same issue. Looking at Pelican's forum, the fabric appears to be a cotton or poly cotton canvas. Any assistance is greatly appreciated! sopor Posted July 28, 2020 Share Posted July 28, 2020 On my old targa I just peeled all the fabric off and carried on. Car was quite watertight as the rubber seals were OK. I believe the fabric covering is purely for aesthetic purposes as with the hood down or targa top off so much rubber is visible and the canvas/fabric looks better.
