I've just read this thread, start to finish. What a build! As an Aussie based in the UK, I enjoyed seeing all the Australiana. The Torana looked ace with the Simmons wheels

Glad you liked that.

But Robinwild is right, I'll be a bit sad whenever I see an IB if I sell.

I bought the 997 because it's more suited to going places with my wife if you want a 911 fix at the same time, that has already been the case, the IB is more for thrashing around in by myself. We could hang onto both but it's still a lot to tie up in cars. The Turbo is collector grade and talk is that being the last Mezger engine one they could be a reasonable investment into the future, but not at the moment. It's not one to fiddle with, has to stay stock.

My wife has watched the process of selling the IB and as much as she'd like for there to be one 911 max in the family she knows the work that's gone into the IB and it's real worth, she's happy to have it stay if that worth is not met. A good plan I think is to keep the IB, develop it to the next level which would mean it comes off the road for a bit, drive the 997 during that process and then when the IB is finished the 997 could go if necessary.

I'm trying to retire, if I can sort that out properly it would be good to keep the IB to work on, have always wanted a 3.0 RS :), then we could start "Turning Orange", or Blue, or "Back to Tobacco!"

Spring is here and things are warming up.

Went down south a bit with some good friends for lunch and a catch up, my mate took this clip as we left for home.
