The German front carpets are great quality and fit well, although I think they could be better at the rear edge where they meet the seats. In terms of the spare targa mat, see photo below showing how it is shaped differently. I’m told the targa has a different wheel well, although can’t think why, must be stronger? I’m on my phone so can’t easily read above. I think you are right about the strengthening possibly being the difference as I can’t think of any other reason - I didn’t realise how different the shape is in the front and looks like you have more space for your feet in the coupe!
