And rockers stripped down and ready to go away for bushes and possible refacing.

Most of the shafts look ok but 4 or 5 show signs of wear and some small ridges.....guess they'll need replacing too!!

Febi replacements are 15 bucks, anyone got any experience vs original parts?

Some of the adjusters have also been abused in a former life, they'll have to be removed in the shop.

So I'm going to send them to the Head Shop in Warrington,  they did a great job with my cylinder head.

Can I bring my engine down for you to rebuild please? :)

Haha, thanks Nige, I'll take that as a  complement!!

Most of the time I'm fixing these things, it's just an evening hobby.....which maybe one day I'll get to drive!!!

Credit where credit's due....

I got these from an un-named, normally to be avoided porsche parts dealer.....🌹👩‍❤️‍👨

And they arrive in less than 24hrs!!

Tricky to get also........

Gezzer, I guess that's why your rebuild is super clean!

Ivan, I'll start saving up, though I have been for a few years but it keeps getting redirected into house related priorities.

So my OCD is bouncing......

Dilivar studs arrived and the black over coating (whatever it is) has sent me into a wild panic.....!!

And the 8x20 studs that I ordered for the top of the cylinder head have come labelled as exhaust studs, and they're black instead of yellow zinc 😭

Think I'll go back to bed, it's safe there!

I would be sending the head studs back.

They need the corrosion protection and they are compromised.

This thread is a beautiful thing, so much attention to detail and amazing cleanliness. What is it about clean and shiny engine parts that gets the pulse racing 😂

So I'm going to start on the injection bits and pieces, getting ready for reassembly.

Here's a question,  does anyone know if this injection pipe holder is available?

It's bolted toothed side of the throttle body .

I want to remove it to have the bracket plated with everything else, needs to be removed by grinding back the fixings with a dremel.....then probably won't be in great nick to put back. Cant find anything in the catalogue....

Any top tips or www links well appreciated!

You can get the bracket plated with the plastic clip still in place.
