Sometimes it’s too much work! We spend hours cutting grass and trees!

Thanks, sometimes I think I would like it 10mm lower at the front but it looks great in these pics!

A lot of people put them too low I think?

Got to consider the poor state of British roads, Speed bumps etc, before going too low. I think how you have it spot on with the top of the rear tyre just covered by the wing.

Thanks. I think it’s just some photo angles as in the flesh it looks low enough, and yes I remember my Supersport when I lowered it too much on Clubsport suspension it wasn’t very nice.

All looks spot on to me!

Thanks Matthew, and thanks for getting the decals and other items out to me so quickly. Jevvy and I are changing the omega spring in the morning.

Upstaged ? No way.....

Haha he couldn't keep up either, had to keep slowing down to miss potholes and any bumps in the road!

And there it is...

For real world fun an IB wins every time (for me). Drive it to the shops, around a track or around Wales, noone's having as much fun as we are. 💓

Yours is awesome. Long may it make you smile.

Thank you. You are right, the SC has so much that is right about it that I can’t help think that it has been the most under appreciated 911.

I have had 997 inc GT3 and Turbo, 996 C4S, Turbo and GT2, 964 Turbo and 964 cup spec car, 993 3.8, as well as a Supersport and a 1971 race car.

I much prefer the pre 1990 cars over anything else, I would pick a 3.2 or Sc over a 964 anyday!

Thank you. This car has been a bit of a revelation for me, the most softly sprung 911 that  I have owned, the least power but actually more fun across a broader range of speed than anything else I have owned.

I am smiling at 20mph in the corners!

I went modern for 12months, bought a Cayman 981 S manual and it was amazing, all I thought it would be, but in the end IBs give me more of what I want, and there's the security of knowing every nut and bolt on the car, The hand built solid feel is another factor, they have a jewel like quality and as you say the fun factor all kicks in at much lower speeds, I was going to get arrested in the Cayman.

Have always fancied a GT4 or spider, much prefer them for size over the 991/992 which seem massive now.

Clutch omega changed yesterday and it’s running lovely now.

Also changed my door cards back to a more OEM look, this is mocked up ready for trimming. I have the correct vinyl ready to trim.

Before when I collected the car.

After yesterdays work.

Can see where you're heading. I went RS clean look in the end, my stock stuff was knackered.

I removed the center console too to clean things up and save some weight along with the door pockets, downside being loosing storage space. I gained a bit back when I deleted the heat from the car which meant I could remove the heat tubes coming up from the sills so those pockets in the foot wells get deeper (no tube in them).

As I have done back seat delete I think I might build the factory luggage tray seen in some 3.2 Carrera CSs, that gives you a storage tray in the rear level with the bottom of the vinyl parcel shelf section and the seat recesses become storage compartments below that, can finish off with a cargo net on top.

Now yes but originally no, the dash was changed years ago to black from cork when the RHD conversion was done, I guess they where more readily available in black then. The car still had cork "hockey stick" sections in the lower dash but I swapped those for black ones with someone that needed cork ones. Then I recovered the door top sections and rear upper card trims to black so the black flowed around the top to the parcel shelf which lined up so I did black also but the lower section cork to match the rest.

Then the new black headliner slotted in super well too :)
