Shock Absorbers

Hi All,

I am looking to replace all shock absorbers on my 1989 Carrera.  It has option code 474 which I understand is ‘Sport shock absorber’. The current rear shock absorbers are yellow in colour (Bilstein?) but am not sure if they are the originals.  I am not sure about the front - I think they are black.

I would like to keep the car as original as possible. 

Does anyone have any recommendations on what I should replace the shock absorbers with to achieve as close to the original spec as possible?

There was a pair of nearly new spot spec rears for sale on IB at a very reasonable price - have a look in the for sale section.

Bilstein offer a factory rebuild service for the front legs.

If you want it back to factory spec you need the Porsche only Boge rear shocks, those Billys are replacement

Black struts are Boge which makes sense, same deal with Porsche only for inserts

You are looking at over a grand though!
