Anybody been?

Can you share any tips on attending?

What's the access like to pits etc - is it open like, say Silverstone Classic, or highly restricted?

do you mean the WEC 6hrs or the classic? If the classic, pitlane is pretty much open to the public throughout the weekend. You can also wander the entire scenic track for photo opportunities.

The modern variant may also have set times that you can access pitlane. A lot of motorsport tends to do that now i find, to make it more fan friendly.

If staying near La Source, there is a great pizza restaurant just up the road :) they have a glass panel floor looking into their wine cellar where a race car is located.

Hi Mark

The Classic. Have found what looks like a great campsite (within walking distance I believe!) so am thinking of going in my campervan.

Thanks for your thoughts!

Been several times, as Mark says open pits, you can get close and dirt with the cars, several great vantage points around the circuit, nice places to eat in town

We stay at the Val d'Arimont (Very popular with us Brits!) depending on which Chalet you chose these can accommodate between 3-5 in each. We typically arrive Thursday afternoon and depart Sunday Morning. It works out at approximately €216 each for 3 nights/4 days which is very reasonable.

our travel details are:  8.50 out on Thursday 29th Sept returning Sunday 2nd Oct 17.50 (5.50pm), currently this is priced at £144.00.

For a cool car photographer like you Chris, i would say its a bucket list tick off to go the Spa Classic. So many fantastic images to capture from all sorts of angles thanks to the amazing topography of the place, not to mention heaps of nostalgia and amazing car line ups

The track has a couple of good bars too :)
