Has anyone found a suitable aftermarket seal to go round the oil cooler shroud. OE version is over £100!!! It looks like a simple U type edge seal but I can't find anything that looks similar.

Also how does the OE version actually fit? I've tried to open the U section up but it is impossible. Does the shroud plate just push into the U section?

Try some16mm water pipe insulation tubing.

You'll need to notch it on the tighter curves, but at under £1 it is worth the effort!

The existing OE section only has the U grip section not the hollow rubber bit on top. Did it fit OK?

Let me know how much you’ve got left please?

Have you tried Woollies?
There’s a “small boot seal” on there that looks similar.

Yeah, I'm looking at all the car trim seal suppliers and there are numerous types available which should suit the purpose.

I don't have access to the car as it's down at my Indy. How does the seal work? Does it face seal up against the inner surfaces or edge seal?

Did you get anywhere with this?

The Porsche foam seal is a ridiculous £100 so I'm also looking at other solutions.

I did use one of the foam rubber U section seals but which one I can’t remember. Sorry.

I have some stuff I bought from McMaster Carr in the US that was recommended on the Pelicanparts forum. https://www.mcmaster.com/12335A25/

need to check how much I have left, probably enough for another car

You wouldn't happen to have any left, would you....?

Seeing if I can find an equivalent in the UK.

I definitely used the U channel spring grip with a round hollow sponge rubber tube on top. Probably bought from Woolies or an ebay supplier. If I can remember it was the size of the sponge rubber tube which was the issue. But the bigger size didn't cause a problem in the end.
