Nice!!

Tell us more about it🤗

Future plans?

I purchased the car sight unseen out of Western Australia in 2020 when Melbourne ( where I live)was in lockdown , but a friend whose judgement I trust implicitly had driven it in late 2019.

His words, “Justin I’m not really an impact bumper guy but if i was I would buy this car in a heartbeat “ still ring in my ears.

2 months earlier I had a sold a rhd Australian delivered 1968 Swb 911 L…. Which I had owned for 22 years. It felt like 22 minutes when i think about it.

Plans for the car .. drive it and enjoy it. Mileage is relatively low (a verified 110000 miles from new) but who am I keeping it for.

With  my wife we took the car (in 2021 just prior to another bloody covid induced lockdown) on a Porsche Club of Victoria 10 day trip to Tasmania….. automotive nirvana, and I plan to return soon.  I’ve attached a few pics of that 1200 mile trip, where we were the second oldest car on the tour, but I was asked many times “ how old is the car and gee it goes well”

Lovely looking car. Enjoy!

I find this an Interesting time at Porsche. 1977 they had just finished the MFI, and had the c3 and the SC in production all in the same body shell.

Hi Justin, welcome to the group.

I'm based in WA so at some point have probably seen your car in the flesh over the years, there's not many nice ones here I haven't seen if they come out of the woodwork. There where few a oak greenish Carrera 3.0s and SCs over here, less now as quite a few of our good cars have gone east! (they pay more for them there)

Do you have records of who looked after the car recently while here in WA?,  anyway she looks very nice, good choice.

Cheers,

Phil

Is there a Carrera 3 spoiler?  Mine's got the big polyurethane one, (which I'm unfashionably fond of), but there doesn't seem to be much consistency.  The one on my car has been there since the 00's at least, quite possible since new (there was definitely a spoiler on it from new)

Australian delivered 77 Carrera 3.0. Oak green over cork, with some very desirable options.

The all polyurethane spoiler was one of two versions used by the factory on the C3.

The other one was like the one on the orange car and the oak green one here but without the second grille

Hi Justin - your car looks great, love the colour.

My Carrera 3.0 lives on the Mornington Peninsula (just South of Melbourne for those not from here) so may bump into you one day.

Cheers, Tony.

I have the original rubber tail, but I’m not a fan. On light coloured cars like my ice green C3 which I owned in the 90s, I couldn’t stand it. The oak green you can get away with.

I have a flat lid which is going back on at next service.

I also have a ducktail- my wife just rolls her eyes!

Which is before and after re the spoiler. Hopefully deleted....

I change them around - it has a flat lid back on it at the moment...

I have the original all black rubber tail (which was OE fit for all Australian Carrera3.0's) , a 3.0 Turbo reproduction tail (in a few of the pics), a duck tail and the flat lid.

My wife just rolls here eyes when I emntion I might change the tail on the car - she just rolls here eyes. My response is - doesn't everyone have 4 engine covers for thier 911?
