Gear lever housing

Recommended Posts

Hi all

1976 2.7s

Hard to explain but bear with me

on the gear lever housing that I’ve now restored I can’t recall if the guide bracket with bush sandwiches the tunnel.
if the guide was just bolted to the housing it would mean the housing wouldn’t sit flush on the tunnel

So lever housing.. tunnel .. guide

hope it make sense

regards Keith

Also

setting the front hood lock it’s a backdate so earlier lock and a pain

i know there’s been discussion on this but is there a link, the lock I have is new but was stiff due to a binding inside, now free moving

also the cable guide tube has movement at the lock end.. should this be solidly fixed to the front panel ?

regards Keith

Guide bolts direct to housing, can be a bit of a fiddle to start bolts off.

But reading this I may be wrong
