Ian Comerford Posted June 18, 2023 Posted June 18, 2023 In the spirit of continuing to keep she who must be obeyed happy I am getting rid of more stuff that will never be refitted to my car. The item in question this time is a 3.2 Carrera rear spoiler, engine lid and wiper assembly with motor. My SC came fitted with this when I bought it in 1998 and I didn’t know at the time it was the wrong item for the car. When I had the car bodywork done by Sportwagen in 2017 I fully stripped the spoiler and engine lid to be painted in the same colour as the car in case I ever wanted to put it back on the car. I also had a ducktail done. The duck will stay and the rest needs to go. It is still stripped but as the buyer will not want this colour it’s probably best sold as a full kit of parts so that the relevant parts can go straight in for paint. It’s in near perfect condition, the paint as you would expect from Sportwagen and the rubber spoiler is unmarked. The question is what is it worth? I’ve seen a few spoilers only for sale between £400-760 but this includes the engine lid and the wiper mechanism. Any ideas? Thank you Ian

You see plain spoilers for sale between £230-495, engine lids for a similar range but I’ve just seen a black full assembly (minus the wiper though) for £495, but not in as good a condition. I’m thinking £750, what do you think? Thank you
Phill Posted June 20, 2023 Posted June 20, 2023 At the risk of you getting no more comments and lots more views I’ll chip in. I reckon you are about right as a package at £750. In my mind, lid 4-5, spoiler 2-3, wiper mechanism and motor not much. I’d be tempted to split as a lot of people won’t want all of it.

Jonny Hart Posted June 20, 2023 Posted June 20, 2023 Surely eBay will tell you? I can tell you that in 2011 a mint all rubber spoiler (the original really heavy 8kg SC one) was worth £6. They are now a bit more than that.
