Could I make alloys this size fit

narrow body or wide body?

personally I would steer well clear of bigger/wider wheels. they and the tyres will be noticeably heavier increasing unsprung weight and giving a flywheel effect at the front when turning in.

Thanks for your thoughts guys. Not withstanding whether bigger wheels should be used or not:

I've just bought a set of wheels with different offsets and widths compared to standard:

2 x 8,5 x 17 ET 56 (VA)

2 X 9,5 x 17 ET 56 (HA)

I'm looking for some help in working out which spacers I need to make these fit the suspension of a narrow body carrera 3.2, can anyone let me know how you worked your fitments out please? Thanks

Well 17" Fuch have an offset of 35 front 16 rear (71/2 & 9)

So you would need 21mm front and 40mm rear to get back to that point

The fact that you have 1" more wheel on the front and 1/2" more on the rear could be a factor, tyres will also be a factor, but its a starting point!!
