sopor Posted August 14, 2023 Share Posted August 14, 2023 narrow body or wide body? personally I would steer well clear of bigger/wider wheels. they and the tyres will be noticeably heavier increasing unsprung weight and giving a flywheel effect at the front when turning in. Not withstanding whether bigger wheels should be used or not: I've just bought a set of wheels with different offsets and widths compared to standard: 2 x 8,5 x 17 ET 56 (VA) 2 X 9,5 x 17 ET 56 (HA) I'm looking for some help in working out which spacers I need to make these fit the suspension of a narrow body carrera 3.2, can anyone let me know how you worked your fitments out please? Type911 Posted August 31, 2023 Share Posted August 31, 2023 Well 17" Fuch have an offset of 35 front 16 rear (71/2 & 9) So you would need 21mm front and 40mm rear to get back to that point The fact that you have 1" more wheel on the front and 1/2" more on the rear could be a factor, tyres will also be a factor, but its a starting point!!
