pstarkey Posted January 5, 2024 Posted January 5, 2024 (edited) The Continentials on the rear of my 9s are date marked 2017 and I am getting a humming noise which when looking at the tyres off the ground seems to point to flat spots, they are not far off the wear markers so looking at replacement options which seem limited - I see some have gone Yokohama A008P, but are there any other options/recommendation? I have PS4s on the front but these are NLA in 245 45 16s and you don't seem to be able to get SO2's anymore?? Edited January 5, 2024 by pstarkey 1

Used the AR1's on track cars but not sure as an all round road tyre on the IB. however if you are coming from 888 then they are an excellent alternative - are you running these on the IB all year round? 1
BenC Posted January 5, 2024 Posted January 5, 2024 All good thanks. I’ll be fitting the Nankangs to replace the 888s and running them all year round. I’ve realised that when I’ve had different sets of rims and tyres in the past I never swapped them over and they just got in the way!

proporsche Posted January 18, 2024 Posted January 18, 2024 How about Pirelli Rosso my tirs are also 2017 but still in an excellent shape ,so debating if i should replace them .I got these Pirelli on a great deal front and rear.. 205/55/16 and 245/45/16 Ivan
Beaky Posted January 22, 2024 Posted January 22, 2024 Others have either switched to 8" as there is a biggest range of tyres, or even stretched a 225 50 over a 9" - believe Paul (Longman) did this for many years on his without issue
