Hi All,

I currently have right and left chrome flag style mirrors on my 912E. However I was thinking since I back dated it, these don't look right anymore so planning to change. Although my preference I don't want to spend the money required to get some genuine Talbot Berlin mirrors, in which case I was thinking Durant style.

These are £45 each and like for like - https://www.heritagepartscentre.com/uk/90173111102-round-durant-style-chrome-wing-mirror.html

Whilst on Heritage site I saw these at £60 each which are for beetles https://www.heritagepartscentre.com/uk/ac857mtr01-talbot-mirror-complete-with-seal-and-mounting-hardware.html but I am not sure of the current fixings so may need drilling which I would rather not to. Does anyone know the current hole pattern?

Also open to other cost effective ideas if people have any.

TIA

Cant help on the fitting but if you actually want to see out of them, keep what you have (and they were fitted on pre impact bumper 911's)

good point, its definitely style over substance. Being LHD I got a large clip on rear view mirror which gives me a really good visibility, so I am not that reliant on the wing mirrors other than reversing.

Interesting on the clip on mirror, any pics? My 912 & 356 have zero visibility on the wing mirrors really

It something like this - https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/393705796313?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=7uift6etq-y&sssrc=4429486&ssuid=dKCd_f2zT-a&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY

not the prettiest of solutions, but it definitely works as I can see a wide angle behind me on both sides meaning I don't really use my wing mirrors at all.
