Can anyone advise me about insuring a car undergoing a DIY bodywork restoration, will a laid up policy suffice or do I need a specific policy for the restoration. How do I value a car  undergoing a restoration.

Laid up cover should be fine, Tim. Talk to your insurer. Subscribing members get a discount with Classicline and they are generally pretty helpful AFAIK.
