Does anyone know how to replace the dew wipe trim on the outside of the door glass? both sides have shrunk so there is a gap. (911 531 931 02)

Want to avoid taking the door apart and bending anyhing.....

Any help or advice welcome

It’s slightly fiddly but not difficult from recollection.  The strip has something like press studs built into it that press fit into socket or holes in door.  I removed mine by lowering the window glass and inserting a plastic wedge tool normally used for removing car interior trim to ease the old strip out.  I then used a piece of sheet steel against the glass to support the glass and prevent damage and manoeuvre the new strip into location.  You then need to go along the press studs one by one and use something like a large flat blade screwdriver to lever against the sheet steel and push each press stud into its socket.  Hope this makes sense.

Targas are easier as you can do them without removing the trim

It works! thanks for this. Have got it all to pieces and it looks straight forward.

Am also replacing a trim seal on the bottom of the 1/4 light, 90153193320, but there is a mystery part number 91153129700 listed in the PET catalogue that I don't know if I need and can't figure out where it goes...

Anyone have any ideas?

It slots down between the quarter light and the outer 'moulding' (PET name) on the top of the door. I think it's just an interference fit.

I have just removed the door top trim and my car and that small piece is glued to the aluminium trim.

So from the outside in it is, Aluminium strip, then 90153193320 90153193320.1.jpg, then 91153129700 9115312980001C_1.jpg then glass?

Thanks..
