1977 Targa steering wheel questions

Hi, my steering wheel is getting a bit sticky across the top edge and worn and thinking about a replacement. Taking cover off I have realised that it is 944 wheel. Should it have the T type wheel? I was going to fit a 964 wheel as per image 4 but read on here somewhere that it won't be a straight swap. Advice appreciated, or anyone with a good correct wheel for not tooooo much money  Cheers Keith

PS car not for sale now and want to make some improvements

You will have to do what someone did with your old one, drill out the rivets and swap the boss over (the big hex bolts on yours) easy enough to do
