Finally got a Supersport

I used to be on here a few years back and often pop on and off, Life has been too busy but I have had a few 3.2 Targas and still have my old SC, I purchased this two years ago, I sourced the parts over a couple of months , The front wings are Genuine Porsche which Porsche Centre Tonbridge supplied, I then had it pulled apart and restored, I don’t think I will ever part with it now. Carrera performance did the work for me, Jezz knows his stuff and also has a master Welder there too they did a top job.

I am very pleased with it, It has only had 4 owners 2 of those were the same family which is quite unusual for any sports car most nowadays seem to have had 8 or more owners. I had both sides of the car and the bonnet stripped to bare metal and painted which was very wise as like many Porsches of this era it had several layers of paint over the years and it is wise to strip everything off and start again otherwise you risk a paint reaction not necessarily straight away it could take months for paint to start to react with previous paints, I Partially stripped parts off the car over sill panels rear 1/4 panels bumper trims etc its amazing what you find that previous owners or so called specialist have done like using wood screws to hold the outer sill trim on I wish I had taken pictures of that!  The inside of the front wings and inner wings were painted using Raptor 2k stone chip which you can add your paint colour to, I believe you can actually get it pre mixed to your cars colour now. It is impressive stuff.
