Hi all

Does anyone know the difference between the front strut of 3.2 carreras and 930's?

Two different part numbers are listed, but a specialist and I cant seem to see any differences.

Cheers

Bilstein is the same, Boge difference is the insert

Juat so im absolutely clear. If I have a turbo boge strut, and have just had the the inserts replaced, the the turbo insert won't go into a 3.2 carrera?

The background on this is that my indy has just replaced shocks all round for my supersport which has turbo boge all round. We put green bilsteins in. When the full geo was being done, early on it was discovered the steering arm off the strut was bent in the past and the alignment was done accordingly to make it driveable. So no ride height or corner weighting, or a correct geo has been done yet.

I have found a guy selling a 3.2 boge strut and was trying to see if that was an option.

Are you talking about the strut or the insert/damper?

Bilstein Turbo struts are quite different to standard 3.2 Boge struts.  Bilstein struts operate with the insert/damper upside down compared to the standard Boge strut, makes the Bilstein stiffer from what I understand.  The strut itself is interchangeable between Turbo and 3.2 chassis/A arms.

But you need to get the right insert /damper for the right strut.

Got to the bottom of it. 3.2 Carrera and Turbo/Supersport Boge share the same strut, its the insert that changes. The only differences are the brake clip and how the top cap holds the insert in. Later cars screw onto the strut thr earlier cars acrew into the strut
