Well I ought to show my hand as well. My Speedster is essentially a 3.2 Carrera. I suppose I might also post under the specials subgroup but seeing as 99.9% of my car belongs here I'll add my voice to this post.

BTW Jean Berk, I've been following your project over on DDK, fascinating, great to see you here. Any queries you have just post away!

Thanks - I feel like i'm sitting in a cosy lounge with like-minded enthusiasts! Good things ahead, i'm sure. :)

Chris,

My white Carrera is parked next to yours in the picture. This was the June action day at Castle Coombe last year was it not? Went to this day with a mate from work (TVR - driver) who persuaded me to have a go on the track - my first time in the Porsche having had it for over seven years - the bug bit!

I remember seeing your car and yes folks it really is as beautiful as it looks in the picture - You must be very proud!

Hi Andy

Was indeed at Castle Combe.

Yes, I suppose I am quite proud of the car. As an owner I think you are always aware of the bits that aren't quite right on the car and so tend to play down condition.

I've had the car for about 2.5 years - had 43k miles on it when I bought it. Now has about 52k. I'm gradually getting it how I want it. Brakes are all new (but factory spec - no upgrades), dampers are all new and alignment set. Had to replace the rear bumper due to corrosion.

Ideally I'd like to have a bare metal respray done - but it would be a waste of money right now. I intend to enjoy the car for quite some time so a respray can wait.

Saw the notice in Total 911 so I thought I'd sign up!

Mine is an '88 SSE coupe in GP White. Had it about two months now after selling my S2.

Spent most of its past 4 years in the previous owner's garage as he never had enough time to drive it.

Really enjoying it now and putting those miles on!

Beautiful looking car, love the picture. Enjoy it on the road as well as on the drive!

(Sorry to seem dim but what is an S2?)

Welcome aboard Richard!

Nice car you have there, did I see it parked in the Tipec stand at Husbourne Crawley at the weekend?

Cheers,

Tim.
