Hello to you all.

I am new here, but been a Porsche-a-phile for quite while.

My current car is a Slate Grey 85/86 3.2 Cabriolet, nice and original and pretty clean.

I have formerly owned a 924S (first 'cheap' Porsche) and then a 944 S2.

Let me know if anybody is based anywhere near Bromley (Kent) as would be good to go for a blast.

Also, i am about to drop my car off to Project Nine Engineering (http://www.projectnineengineering.co.uk/) for a 12k service and a few odds n sods. Have any of you guys used them? I have heard good things, but was would appreciate any feedback from anyone who knows them?

Thanks,

Max

Hi Max,

I'm about a mile from Bromley, few of us around. Join the next SE meeting.

Never used Projectnine but seems to know his stuff. Believe Matt at Type911 uses him.

Hi,

Sounds good - when/where is the next SE meeting?

I was going to go to Type911 for some Swepco trans fluid on Saturday, so i will pick his brains then.

Cheers,

Max

Hello all,

My name is Samu and I live in Finland. I have been lurking this board long time - maybe too long. So it's about time to introduce myself and join excellent conversations you have here. I have owned ex forum (Mr Jacob, Pontefract West Yorkshire) 3.2 -87 for almost two years now.

This is my first Porsche and kind of dream come true factor in my life. You bet I've loved every minute driving it. I've put around 8 thousand miles for it, longest trip has been to Nordkap, Norway (Porsche Parade Finland 2009) last summer. It's been working like Swiss clock, no troubles what so ever.

When I bought it already had Bilstein HD shocks, stiffer rear sway and 964 front brakes. During the first year I did not do any modifications, but now I have started to build it more towards track usage. I'm still really rookie over there but really love practise driving on local tracks. This spring I installed turbo tie rods, EPR PB bearings and QuickChange camber plates to front. Rear is not done yet so 22/29 torsion bars are still on my garage shelf. Currently using 8/8" Fuchs with Kumho V70 semis for track and 7/9" for street. I have collected plenty of parts (mostly from UK) for upcoming engine build and I have another G50 gearbox which was just rebuilt locally - plenty of goodies there.

Samu - you're 911 is looking excellent! I've had a picture of this one as my screensaver for the last 2 years and Marine Blue was at the top of the list for colours had one come up for me.

Enjoy!

post-4761-1283417349_thumb.jpg Hi everyone, I've owned my 89 F Carrera 3.2 for 18 months. It's been down to Le Mans 3 times and been round the circuit at this year's Classic. I'm also in Bromley (Kent) and would be keen to swap notes/stories/drives with other local 911 owners. I'm currently taking my car to the Suffolk/Essex border for servicing at Maxted-Page and Prill who cannot be faulted but it is not the most convenient! I would be keen to learn of good independent specialists in the local area, particularly as I have some niggles to get sorted.

Gorgeous! But then I would say that, spitting image of how my baby looked before I took it all apart!

Can't help with the garage but I'm sure someone will be along shortly. I think there may be topics you could search for around Kent servicing in the past too.

Hi All

Im new on here, I've been around Porsche's ever since my uncle fulfilled his dream of owning one and got me hooked, as a kid I was only too happy to spend hours cleaning it, and go for drives- since then he's moved on both up and down the Porker range, now his first Porsche is my first Porsche.

Its an 1987 911 Targa Anniversary Edition, I know from the club here in Ireland that Targa's aren't everybody's cup of tea- but for me its easy to look past that as its a bit like a family heirloom I suppose, and for that reason I plan on making it my daughters first Porsche.......... which gives me 17 more years to enjoy it :)

Fantastic forum btw,

Cheers

Steve

Good man Steve, I must say our spotless Irish garages are showing up very well on here this week. :signs118:

Hey Steve,

Doesn't matter what others think about it. I am sure that all your drives in it will be complemented with one of those huge grin on your face which I think most of us have when we turn the ignition keys on! :signs122:

Hey Samu, It's great to see Jacob's old car resurface. You've got a beauty there. :signs118: Start a thread on the Hot Rod section and keep it updated with the progress.

1989 Sport with linen leather sports seats, LSD, aircon (which doesn't work - yet) and a few other nice goodies. Chuffed to bits!!

Now, someone please explain the heating controls, which are a total mystery to me, despite reading the handbook 5 times!!

welcome :ani_clapping: use the search on here.

To be straight forward:

(center dial between seats: temperature hot/cold

Red lever: hot air up or down

Blue lever: fresh air up or down

Fan lever: for me just to de-mist the screen.

I'm sure others will be along shortly.

Hello everyone,

Just collected my 1988 Carrera last Friday. The best thing I have ever bought, my first introduction to Porsche ownership.

Cheers Rob

Hi All,

picked up my first Porsche this Saturday. A dark blue 1989 3.2 cabrio. As the previous owner did change many parts recently (roof, repaint, clutch, engine top end job, tyres, all new window joints, new front windshield, etc), I hope to be able to do some nice driving.

Hello and welcome :)

After a search lasting almost a year, I've bought an original 3.2 Sport 1988.

You may not like the colour, nougat, but in the end I decided I liked the car enough to learn to live with it!

Car isn't home yet, but here's the first picture. I'm recent on here, so hope I've managed to upload ok.
