Cheers John

Looks like it works for me, just added a photo of my 'garage' in the garage post

Dave

I tweaked it to get it to work buddy but you were 99% of the way there, just don't click the 'insert link' button after you click the pic button, paste the address into the image pop up and should all work fine. Love that pic by the way :D

Finally got round to posting pictures of the car. It's a 1988 German-spec model which has lived here in Jersey since new. One owner, 72K miles, full history, massive stack of bills (all new brakes incl callipers, new hood ecu and new clutch). Rot-free (no road salt in winter here) too. I'm feeling a little more pleased with myself than I ought to; something must be about to go wrong!

Please excuse the phone pictures; I have no idea where my camera's charger is.

Even though I've only had the car for just over a week, I'm already seriously addicted to it. Still need to get used to some foibles, but well worth it (and all part of the fun).

Hi,

I'm new to this forum, although I've been lurking around the Pelican forum for a little while. I've had my '84 3.2 for about 3 years, and do all the maintenance myself since I can't afford to take it to the garage (and working on it is part of the fun!). So far it has never let me down apart from when I missed a gear change and bent all the exhaust valves - what a pain in the bum that was! That's what started me doing the maintenance myself really - I couldn't afford the 4 grand I was quoted for a top-end rebuild, so I bought some books, did the research and it did myself. I found that a truely fantastic learning experience, and really it liberated me from having to rely on garages all the time.

Here's my baby:

Thanks John. It's nice to be on a forum with UK owners on it - Pelican is great for advice, but everybodies on the other side of the puddle!

Welcome to the forum Charles,

And well done on the top end re-build, you'll get lots of help with any other projects here from all the guys.

After you've said hello in the main new members thread, come and meet your fellow 3.2 owners here. I'll start it off: hello everyone! :D

How rude of me I posted yesterday without saying hello !

6 months into '89 3.2 Cabrio ownership, loving every minute of it (apart from the new clutch after 3 months) and getting told on a regular basis that I'm ignoring my real car which I begged and winged about until I got my own way. Apparantly I've only got time for the Porsche now despite it being a 1/5 of the value..................funny that ...lol

Whoops, yes I posted too without saying 'hello'. Bought an '86 3.2 just before Christmas 2006. Enjoying it immensely.

Thanks, I find it is a nice contrast to the small rust weep under one of the front lights...

Hi Guys,

Thought I'd say hi as my first post on here! Just sold my 944 S2 after 4 years of ownership and bought an 89 3.2 coupe so I'm sure I'll be along with loads of questions pretty soon. Picked the car up last week and still grinning. It's Baltic blue, (marine?) Blue sports interior with white piping and wonderfull 8" rear fuchs wheels.

Went all the way up to Aberdeen to get it and drove it back down to the midlands the same day, that was an adventure all of it's own, and gave me plenty of time to get familiar. I havent managed to take any pics since it's been home but will post som up soon.

Hi John,

Thanks, good to have got my 911 after 28 years of dreaming! Although I will and do miss the 944 still. I'm sure I'll be calling on your expertise soon enough, and I'm only up the road, so some spanner wielding services may be called upon ^_^

You may remember we met a few years ago in Southam when I sold you a copy of Colin Mcrae Rally 5, you may have noticed I have a few copies of the new Colin Mcrae DiRT game in the for sale section ;)
