As long as I'm at it. Here's some vital statistics:

I've shifted directions quite a few times. I wish I could have done a nice LWB 911R or an ST or TR re-creation but I realized it wouldn't be as authentic looking as I would have wanted. So I decided on a mixture of influences from those cars plus the RS. Here is a list of some of the updates:

Fiberglass RS front and rear bumpers, front fenders, hood and ducktail.

911R plastic door handles.

RS door panels.

911R taillights.

911R style plastic front vent windows with vent bubble.

911R rear quarter windows with vents and drip tray.

Center fill gas tank with 110mm Blau cap.

Removed sunroof.

7 and 8 original Fuchs reconditioned in the RSR style by Harvey Weidman.

Fully rebuild 915 with 7:31 ring, LSD and case modification from WEVO.

WEVO short shifter.

WEVO engine and transmission mounts.

SSIs

Bilstein sports

S alloy front calipers.

10,000 rpm tach.

180 mph speedo.

Original Cibie Pallas.

ST seats from Stefan.

No radio.

A/C removed

6 point Sabelt harnesses.

Full bolt in cage.

The interior will be completely gutted with no insulation.

Engine is a stock 3 liter, that has been rebuilt. I've added Webers and it's been nicely detailed. I couldn't afford to do much with engine mods. Maybe in the future. I've shed a lot of weight. I wish I had kept track of how much. I'll weigh it when it's done. This car should be a lot of fun. Thanks guys. I'll update as things happen.

Redone wheels and new seats. Had the dash and gauges done too!

Many of you may have seen updates over in Pelican but I'm so excited about the progress, I just have to post over here too!

Cheers,

Mark

Looking nice Mark.

Anyone got a link to the pelican thread?

Cage is going in. Actually spent 2 weeks getting the paint laid down correctly on the floorboards if you can believe it. That drove me nuts. I've been promise the car will be finished by April. Still have to weld the knee bar and side bars in. I have high hopes for some serious progress in the coming weeks.

Cheers,

Mark

This is a really great looking car Mark - is it your shop with the Rollers or someone else's? Love those old RRs.

Hi John,

Not my shop. But my good friends: R.O.C.S. in Belleville, New Jersey: have been Rolls Royce and Bentley specialists for many years here in the states. They have always loved the Porsche cars.
