  1. Cheers, Mark you have PM.
  2. Cleaning the ICV makes no difference. I'll get the mixture checked. Can anyone recommend where I can get the ECU looked at? I might try finding someone with a similar car and swap them over. If I remember correctly this all started when I removed the DME relay and also the ECU as the lid was loose. Thanks for the suggestions everyone.
  3. I'm still trying to fix a fluctuating Idle problem. When cold I've still got a problem with my idle fluctuating from 500rpm to about 2000rpm which is driving me mad. When I disconnect the Idle control valve the fluctuating stops but idles at about 1100rpm. The car will also stall when cold. When the engine is warm it will idle at a steady 1100rpm or even 1300rpm I've replaced the Cylinder head temp sensor and Idle control valve (used). I also cleaned the earth leads and plug on the ECU. If I bypass the idle control valve it will sit at 800rpm happily. The car has also had a major service 800 miles ago. I'd really like to get this sorted now as it's not exactly much fun to drive at the moment!
  4. Cleaned up all the earth leads. Changed the Cylinder head temp sensor and ICV. Seems to have done the trick and cured all the gremlins. It was very satisfying to hear the car start normally for a change. Even Idles at 800rpm. Thanks for all the advice!
  5. Had the major service done and given the car a good run. It's idling now at 1150rpm once warm and sometimes just below 900rpm quite randomly. The car still has the cold start issues until it has been ran for about 5 minutes. Could this be the mixture setting? The car still has plenty of power and pulls like it should.
  6. Thanks for all the info gents, Think i'll go for the Motul Motylgear 75W-90. Three litres should do the trick shouldn't it?
  7. Dominic, The Q8 oil you use, is it Q8 T65 75W-90? Motul does a very similar spec version which is available from Opie or if you can sell me 3 litres of the stuff you use that would be handy.
  8. Could it be this stuff? http://www.opieoils.co.uk/p-60205-motul-mo...earbox-oil.aspx
  9. My 915 box will need the oil changing on the next service. The gearbox has a nice shift when warm apart from sometimes being hard to get into first gear at the lights. What are people using in their 915 boxes at the moment? I'm not totally sure I could justify the £60 for swepco. Any helpful suggestions would be great.
  10. Nice advice there Nathan. I was just thinking about doing just that with the earth. Fingers crossed.
  11. Brilliant, Just been looking at 87-89 rear reflector panels for £150. Just ordered the big 21w LED for £15. Now I can afford to get some swepco and new engine mounts. Thank you all
  12. That 3 out exhaust sounds pretty special!
  13. Good idea, If only I could make it sound like the old 911 sc-rs.
  14. Would be brilliant to see some before and after video clips to see what difference it makes to the noise.
  15. I guess it grounds on the cylinder head on a shorter wire. The dizzy cap is filthy inside to and there is some pitting. A new one is in the post. By the way, Try carparts4less for some parts. Got an exide battery for £55 posted or you can get a Bosch for £62 both the 3 year warranty versions. Cheers Nige, I gave it a 400 mile round trip before putting it into storage and it seemed to get worse. I'll give the earth leads a good once over when I get it serviced. Thnks for the advice.
