Hi I am a Porsche virgin having just purchased a 74 911 Targa which I have totally stripped ready for a body rebuild. However when starting the engine the rev counter starts at 4 thousand revs and continues to rev upwards to5,6,7,& 8. I'm not convinced it is a faulty gauge, has anybody else experienced this and any suggestions to fix? I appreciate any advise With kind regards Simon
