Hi guys,

any recommendation as to best paint for Oil LIne painting ; its for the lines in the rear wheel arch, was thinking about using engine enamel.

Since the idea is heat loss, you don't want anything too thick on there.

I used halford satin black high temp paint. It comes in a tin so for a nice finish I thinned it and applied using an airbrush. 2 coats did a nice job.

IIRC the lines between the engine and the 'stat are mild steel rather than brass so you may have to do some rust treatment before you paint. Can't be a treatment you leave on though, at least I couldn't identify one that was also heat resistant. So something like Fertan or Deox Gel that washes off would get rid of the surface rust prior to paint.
