    Time to rebuild my engine

Thx for your suggestions. I think I will search for a used SC motor, and when I have some money in my pocket I'll make my choose.
  3. This is my car maybe someone remember it: http://www.impactbumpers.com/forum/index.p...193&hl=here little project&st=20 I need to rebuild my motor (2 kgs oil for 1000 km is a bit too much I think)....maybe with any gain in power (nothing extreme). Ideas and suggestions are welcome.
  4. Three photos taken on last saturday in Franciacorta near Brescia in the north of Italy. The nearest track from my home: 250 km

    Here's my little project

Here I am again after a too cold winter for working in the garage (-23° during the coldest days). Just bought this: In order to spend as less as possible for OEM Lemforders I had to check on the official site the code number, then I searched the local dealer of ZF (Lemforder is part of Zf group), and, with a lot of patience, I obtained my turbo tie rod for 105 € inc. Italian vat at 21%. The problem is that the kit as you can see in the picture does not exist in Lemforder catalogue, so I don't have the spacers circled in red, neither the boots (was thinking to reause the old ones). I think the two spacers are nothing special: can anybody tell me the mesure of this particular? (thickness and diametre) so I can find it in a normal shop at a less than 6 $ each plus shipping (as on Pelican)? Next steps are brake pads and braided steel brake lines and obviously new brake fluid. I was thinking about Ferodo Ds2500 as brake pads (101 € the kit): 90% on road and 10% on track: this is as I use the car. Dot 4 or 5 for brake fluid? Any suggestion for braided steel brake lines?
  6. Bump steer kit. Thank you Nige, what I need to know is: which are the good ones ? http://www.rosepassion.com/en/cat/porsche-...rod-kit/P106562 beautifull aren't they?
  7. Sorry in advance , probably you have discussed about this argument some million times. I would like to do this upgrade to my car cause I read everywhere this is one of the most popular, effective and cheap upgrade you can do on your SC. So I did a simple search on Google and find a million of "turbo tie rods kits". The cheapest costs 74 $ and the most expensive is 273 €. (pictures seem always the same ) Let it out for a moment the "royal magnificient uniball steering tie rod kit (by Rosepassion) at the cost of 337 € which is probably a bit too extreme for my needs To you, which kit should I choose between the internet offers? Thanks a lot for your helpful advices. And what about the bump steer kit for lowered cars? Do you think is usefull/necessary?
  8. The car's more noisy than with the original soundproof material, but I think it is tolerable (not for my wife ghghghghgh). The panels are really light about 300 grams per sheet and are quite simple to assemble. You need 2 sheets making some economy, better having three, they are not expensive. You can try mail the manufacturer if they have an English dealer. I bought them where I work, it's a bit complicated, but if you don't find a better solution I could help you.
  9. Maybe you can find some inspiration from my experience with an AppBitz kit here. http://www.impactbumpers.com/forum/index.p...17193&st=40 Yours is a nice work

I never thought about what you say.....There's always something to learn. I saw some harness bar on the web, but I think that here they are definitely not street legal. Indirect the safest way of mounting the seatbelts is yours, but here it is not street legal, while mine is not so safe but it should be street legal. The problem here in Italy is that laws are made by politicians and not by technicians. DO you think it could be dangerous?

    Here's my little project

Ty Steeley: rear shelf registered. Ty JLewis: it was a lot of time since I hadn't use the car, so my memories about the colour were not fresh. I could say that it is a bit darker than with cream interiors. My legs are in darkness but my head is in brightness. Ty Strosek. Ty to you Richard too. The Italian street code says that you could sobstitute the original seat belts with some homologated type only if you use original seat belts anchorage. So I was obliged to use the lateral ones and the rear abdominal seat belts. even if I suspect that if some policeman stop me in the future I will be obliged to fit again the original ones. In the pictures, the seatbelts are not regulated and are loose, so it seems like they are more vertical than in the reality. I will take a picture with the right tension, I think they could reach the right angulation. Next step: self made brake cooling system ahahahah.
