    Which door bin?

Thanks Nige....only place I have found them in the UK is D911 but I was thinking alone the same lines and fashion them myself. Concept seems simple enough even for an amateur like myself!

Thank you for your help ..... I will look to source a couple of the blocks unless someone has a couple spare?

    Which door bin?

Hi all...I have two sets of door bins but they are slightly different in terms of fixing to the door. I have attached a picture of both showing the difference....question is , which is right for an '82 SC or are they both right, just a different make? The one in the foreground is the preferred one to use....I think a 'fixing' block might be needed and, if so, where do I get them from? Thanks in anticipation of your advice...
  8. Is it possible to adjust the targa latches to the front? The drivers side is really tight and you can see the top being pulled down when engaging, however the passenger side is different. It is easy to close and doesn't really pull the roof down - it 'holds' the top in place but the concern would be if it would still hold at 70! The mechanism looks fine as I have removed it to check......I can't see how I could adjust it though... Many thanks
  9. Thanks Ian - I will have a look at their site later today Pete
  10. Hi - a little advice please. My seat bases have been getting softer and softer so I would like to replace the foam in the bases. Can anyone let me know the best place to purchase them from? I assume the seats are 'standard' and not 'sports seats'....or how do I work that out? I have included a photo of the seats in situ to help, Many thanks
  11. Arrived safe and sound David - thank you.
  12. Thanks for the offer but I have been after a wheel for a while so really happy with my purchase. Should I ever decide to sell I will let you know....
  13. Good sales pitch guys😉
  14. Hi David-if this fits my 82SC I will take it…..
  15. I'm just in awe! Thought I was a dab hand at doing things but this puts any of my efforts to shame. Well done and keep us up to date with progress - I always make a point of looking for new posts....
  16. Had the AstraZeneca one on Sunday - cracking headache followed but no other side effects so far! SWMBO had the Pfizer jab this morning so, with two youngsters working in the health sector who also had the Pfizer jab, first round completed ...... must say all the volunteers helping were excellent. I am only one to have had the AZ in the family.......I am the oldest as well and so far have had the weakest reaction.....as Beaky said, us old gets are a hardy bunch!!
  17. If i remember he 'discovered' that the clips holding the front bars down had not been seated correctly allowing the wind under the targa roof.....if only it was that easy!
  18. Always my worry! Can only tackle what you find as you go along......
  19. Well.....don't you just love other peoples short cuts! The cable tie was taking up space...on the back of that there was a piece of metal shaped to fit into the steering housing to stop the noise. I assume this was a 'home made job'! The bearing looks fine, there was nothing behind the sunshine clip. Maybe the bush idea will be quicker as I have no idea how to get the bearing out without removing the whole thing. Pictures to show what I found
  20. Thanks Ian and Ivan - I did mention that I took the steering wheel off before thinking about recording the noise - had gone too far at that point to put it all back together again - lack of logical thinking on my part there! I will remove the cable ties tomorrow to see what mess I am in and go from there..... Thanks once again....
  21. On checking the uv joints I think they may be the culprit as the noise is clearer under the bonnet. I have attached a photo of one of the uv joints though I can't see much movement when the wheel is rotated.....no video as I then took the steering wheel off! I have removed the steering wheel to explore the noise - https://youtu.be/41QsgdbnVac Also, in my Bentley manual I don't see any cable ties around the steering column - should there be? I doubt it ? What do I do next to check on the integrity of the sleeve as I can see how to get and deeper....thanks.
