I think it would be a sensible approach to do a straight swap with a nice 06 plate Honda Accord. Just msg me immediately.

After a service at GT One it was reported one of the rear fogs wasn't working. So tonight I investigated and found the near side was earthed but had no feed. The working offside wiring was hanging in there by about two strands. So after dis-assembling the block connectors I soldered in a pair of wires to the working offside light and fed them to the near side fog. Et voila! Two nice working fogs... Tomorrow I will have a go at the front sidelights which have also mysteriously stopped working...

Well, as the tickets were so cheap I bought them anyway. Hope I can make it!

For what it's worth I have had mag centred BBS wheels since 2005 on my Mk1 GT3, for my track set. I have used them extensively on road without issue. Apparently if they are going to crack they will crack fairly soon after purchase, unless of course you whack a big pothole. And if they do crack after purchase BBS don't want to know. A mate had a failure ( we both bought at the same time) within a couple of months and BBS held up the 'motorsports parts' card.... Don't tell anyone but if you can purchase as machine parts for your business I have heard a rumour that the price drops significantly, 20% I hear......

Another job I have been meaning to do for ages. With a few days off I decided to check and yup... only 75% open. Just finished... Did my adjustment by the trans as I didn't fancy popping the ball off the throttle pedal as the plastic pedal looked pretty hard and I was not happy farting about forcing the ball back in the socket with so little room. Piece of cake under the car... One issue was that the linky rod with the loop looked bent and was very close to the lh drive shaft. After much trawling on line I couldn't find a definitive pic or photo. The PET is little use but infers a nice straight line either side of the trans loop. So I carefully straightened it anyway (no - not the actual loop) until it looked "right". Now it is perfect with a nice even gap from the driveshaft. WOT switch also ok. Whilst I was crawling about I also replaced my rusty horns - courtesy of Eurocarparts Easter discount. Now what shall I fettle?

Well I for one love it

Saw the Michael Smits crash. Thought it was impossible for someone to get out alive from that but he actually walked away from it. Story goes that he then took a turn for the worst, was airlifted out after considerable delay. Sustained broken vertebrae and ribs, luckily no damage to spinal cord. Sure was a sobering moment.

Hats off to you. It took two screen fitters most of the day farting about with mine....

As you have already decided to sell it the answer should be simple, as the passion seems to have gone. What would you pay for a perfect car? What would you pay for an almost perfect car needing a top end (and possibly more work) rebuild. Subtract one from tother and if it is not enough for the rebuild sell as is. And if you did decide to rebuild then sell you may be tempted not to do a full 'while you're in there' approach, which a new owner probably would. Just my two penneth

Well said. I have bitten my tongue on a number of forums when posters recommend a trader who has not performed well for myself or close friends. As John says educate yourselves and tread carefully out there. The best bits of this forum are the threads displaying the fantastic talent that the members actually have in spades in their own hands.

Bah humbug... Suffering with a bad cold. I blame the wheezing and coughing hoard on SW Trains commute...

Well, I have tickets... Hope the weather is good. -
Just read the whole thread. Fantastic build - so brave to take a rapidly appreciating asset and do what you have done. Must admit I had a heart stopping (wallet opening) moment when Parr££ was mentioned! Beautiful looking beast....

After reading the Times blind tasting test a good few months back we ventured into Lidl and took a few home to try. Great for an evening glass or two for around £4 a pop. Excellent for a wine pleb like me....
